Training on Rangeland Hydrology and Erosion Model (RHEM) July 18-20, 2017 - Amman, Jordan

September 27, 2017

The WLI supported a training in Jordan on applied Rangeland Hydrology and Erosion Model (RHEM) for investigating rangeland degradation and restoration impacts. The model was introduced to WLI partners in 2016 and was successfully tested in Jordan. A follow-up training was held during July 18-20, 2017 to assist WLI partners in their application and interpretation of the model, and to establish the grounds of a regional comparative study on rangeland management. Participants included representatives from
Tunisia, Palestine and Jordan. The training was offered by Dr. Kossi Sayiro Nouwakpo, rangeland hydrology and soil erosion specialist affiliated with USDA Great Basin Rangeland Research (GBRR) unit, Reno, Nevada.
