The training was organized by WLI’s Rangeland Modeling Regional Thematic Group to explore rangeland hydrological and sediment dynamics simulation within WLI partners. The training was led by Drs. Kossi Sayiro Nouwakpo and Osama Al-Hamdan - rangeland hydrology and soil erosion specialists and collaborators with Dr. Mark Weltz form USDA Great Basin Rangeland Research (GBRR) unit, Reno, Nevada. The training was attended by 5 specialists from Palestine and Jordan and included a half-day field visit to WLI benchmark site in Majidyya to demonstrate RHEM field data collection methods. Trainees will now use their newly acquired skills to run similar modes in the two countries and learn from each other’s experiences through comparative analysis of their results.
